Munich!
At the infamous Hofbrauhaus!!
Took a train back to Nurnberg to meet up with Jordan and then we headed to Munich! What an incredible city! There was sooo much to see and we only had two days!
The Rathhaus-Glockenspiel in Munich - arrived just in time to hear it chime!
Eating traditional Bavarian weißwurst with a brezel (soft pretzel) and weißbier... doesn't get much more authentic than that!
Walked along Maximilianstraße and took a pic in front of
one of the many statues of King Maximilian II of Bavaria
At the Mareinplatz
In front of the Maximilianeum built by King Maximilian II of Bavaria in 1857.
Now houses the state parliament.
Visit to Heidelberg!
Explored the town of Heidelberg! Roamed in and out of little shopping streets and through beautiful old neighborhoods. And the grand finale... the Heidelberg Castle! It was massive! An amazing sight to see as much of it is still in ruins from WWII. It was unfortunately too late to tour the castle, but still an amazing sight!
Off to Mannheim!
Friedrich Schiller - a German poet, philosopher and historian. He is considered the most important German dramatist. |

The next day I took a train to Mannheim where my friend Natalie goes to school. Friends Claudia and Synthia from Southern California were visiting too! We spent the first day exploring Mannheim and had some delicious Spaetzle at a cute little restaurant by the University.
First Stop: Brau Haus
My friend Jordan who lives in Nurnberg picked me up at the airport and our first stop was a Brau Haus! We indulged in plenty of fine German beer!
